Boot release catch in the cockpit like a bonnet

Usual answer is to fit an electric boot release solenoid (about£15 on ebay).
Or you could use a conventional mechanical cable release from another source.

It's pretty easy to do, you can see my switch just above the ashtray in this pic
As per Johns post, if your switch is visible like mine it needs to be fed from an ignition source and not directly to your battery hence mine to the handbrake switch.

I understand that they can be used in "Push Mode" rather than pulling the cable. It looks like there is just enough room inside the mounting bracket for the boot lock to fit the body of the solenoid in there, keeping it out of the way.
Maybe over this winter! :nonod:
