Erm, where's your exhaust ports? Looks like they've been filled in with some aluminium!

Elise part soil pump gear (£120) now on its way back to Elise parts for inspection... They have offered to replace it... But not a lot of use as the engine is finished.. So have asked for a refund..

What's the betting they say its perfect...

VERY NICE!

You sir are a bad influence. I have been trying to resist the impulse to build a hot engine for my F.
The wife says the last engine was the last one to be built in the living room. :(

You have a fair point...

I went with 633's as my car is ment to be a GT really.. rather than an out and out racer... but can always change them in the future.. so stop teasing me :spank:

Looks awesome Allan, she'll be good fun to drive! :drive:

I'm guessing you're still on hydraulic lifters? If so I wouldn't worry too much about the 285's, depending on mapping of course, they're pretty tame under 3k and actually return pretty decent fuel economy. In a run up to the NEC from Kent with our track BRM and my road BRM, the track BRM had better fuel consumption :-?

Yeah we have 285Hs in my wife's 'F, and it's strictly a road car. Friend of mine has an Elise with 270s in, which are very similar to the 633s, and it's docile as anything. 285H more lumpy but still easy to commute etc in. Don't forget the 285H was designed as a road cam, hence retaining hydraulic lifters, and to my mind probably the best road cam for the K.

Your engine is certainly shinier than mine. Will look good in there.
