Instument alloy clock rings
RPM and MPH rings ok, but the temp gauge and the petrol gauge rings seem to stop the needles from moving.
Can I file a little off the red needles?

I had the same problem. Did find after a while the needles moved ok...

Posted 11 years 11 months ago #103503There is usually a bit of play in the shaft and might ease out a touch. Be careful though and only pull evenly, as the shaft/pin is brittle.
Could you loosen the whole gauge and move it left slightly so the back doesn't hit the ring?

I have just refitted all back together, just got the battery to reconnect. Blue leds fitted too, so not to bad really. Shouldn't take much to sort out the needle.

Typical isn't it. The blue leds work great and all the other 3 gauges working fine. Even the petrol gauge pointer is ok..
