bonett cable broken

Hi
I live in CYPRUS and there is no dealer for the MG brand.The bonnet release cable has snapped right at the end and i can not open the bonnet.Also the battery has gone flat.Does anyone know how to open the bonnet ?
All help will be much apriciated.

Hi David.my cable has also broken.and cannot locate the cable in the boot near the handle. Am I right in thinking it runs along the inner door sill.
