Finally decided to treat my oldest F currently on 50K to new s/s coolant pipes, cambelt, water pump, tensioner, alternator belt, oh and a fuel filter, but I have to say it wasn't me that did the work. I had it done by DPL Roverland, the chap who owns it, Craig is very knowledgeable and passionate about MG/Rover and the prices were competitive.
Good set up as well out there in the Welsh countryside!

I finally got around to wiring in my remote boot release solenoid.
Simple enough, I used an industrial 10A rated pushbutton, so no need to use a relay. Tapped the power off the cigar lighter as this has a permanent feed.
Works great and I think is a most worthwhile mod.

Finally fitted the x-power exhaust!
Fitting the exhaust was pretty simple, removing the old one was a nightmare...

I need a new heat shield the existing one is falling apart, and it really could have done with being wider in the first place. So will look to finding something suitable in the future.

Can't wait to get out in it for a drive.

I covered mine with a Mike Satur stainless steel exhaust heat sheild cover. I think they about 30 quid. Looks really good.

Just hard wired a Nextbase dash cam into the interior fuse box.
Used Bensewells "how to remove windscreen trim" from some years ago, and everything was really easy.

Dropped the cable to the cam through the small aperture that the interior mirror power comes through to keep it really neat.
I recommend the dash cam, the hard wire kit and Bens "How to"

Regards
David

Sorry I did not mention the model of the dash cam, so;

Nextbase 312GW.

Really clever unit, the power comes into the screen mounted suction unit, which then feeds the dash cam.
The dash cam connects to the screen mount by a magnetic type clip, so you can just pull the unit away from the mount, leaving the connecting cable on the mount.
No fiddling with connecting and disconnecting cables, so really quick and simple.
The hardware kit is also so easy to connect, just plug into an existing ignition operated fuse, and connect the negative lead behind a nut so the unit is grounded.
The dash cam becomes live, and switches on when you make the ignition live. It is so easy, my missus could have connected it up!!

Cheers
David

Simple answer: nowt!

The car is still Sue's daily driver: albeit low miles. All weathers, all year round, lives outside.

Will give it a level check, wash and a Hoover and maybe have a run out over the BH weekend.

To catch up, for the May MOT, polybushes on the front and rear drop links and ARB. And that's it, everything crossed!

Cosmetically, I recently whipped off the door mirrors and resprayed them: the Friday afternoon ultra-thin Brummie clear coat was flaking off on the tops of the casings.

She loves it, I mainly tolerate it, but warm to it greatly on sunny days.....B) . Now the Mk 7 has carboned in nicely, tunnels are quite good fun......

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
