I can take a photo of wifes satur hoop brackets if that's any help.

Think the ones that protrude through the T bar will be similar in design.

Show us exactly what you've bought as a help to help you.

To be honest the life put on airbags was based on an assumption that they would age but in practice they have been found to be more durable so no one changes them.

If the new air bags are made by Takata you may be better off with the old ones! :hgf:

Got my four wheel alignment done finally and cleaned the soft top with AutoGlym. Waiting for a bit of dry weather now to put the waterproofer on.

I adjusted my passenger side roof seals and also the window for a good weather proof seal.

Whoever did it previously had pushed the left front seal up to the a pillar. This was then causing the seal to bulge and not letting the window seal correctly.

All sorted now I may need to replace the cheater as the the window has deformed the seal 😢

Today in the afternoon I started the engine for bleeding the coolant. It was the first start since nine months! Took about 4 - 5sec, then the engine ran.
Next step will be reaching the garage a few miles away without clutch. Had changed the clutch, release arm, slave cylinder and also the flexible part from the slave cylinder to the underfloor pipe. BUT: was unable to screw these two parts together.
I guess it's a mechanic job now. They'll also have to bleed the clutch, close a rusty hole in the sill, four-wheel-align the complete car and give it a new TÜV (german MOT).
At the end of month I'll get Christmas allowance...
