spark plugs

thought the engine didn't sound right so took the new coils off and took the plugs out to check them. some noddy had put two different size plugs in 3 and 4, bought a new set, now running like a dream. just goes to show the one thing I didn't check the plugs, just really glad I did in the end,

Good tip Graham, we do sometimes forget to check the basics first!
Mind you its such a faf to get into the engine bay its tempting to try and do several jobs which means spending the full day at least in there.

oh tell me, just took my o/s front wing off to do a naff door hinge and have had to re-shim it , I left the door on and have now done the bottom one, now just found out the top one needs doing, will it ever end, had a look at the set up to change the alternator belt, put the cover back on with the wheel, said to myself the belt looks ok sod that, it will do. mind you, it runs like a dream now.
