Hi All

Got mechanic to have a look tomorrow, but if you would like to give your thoughts.

It first started yesterday. Started car to go out for a run. The turnover was a little hesitant, but when turning over the noise from the drivers side behind my seat was like a handful of nuts rolling in an empty tin can. Quite disturbing!

Car stated and on normal running no unusual engine noise, drove to destination, no problems in fact car drove very well. Stops for about an hour.

Started car, same noise, but no as bad as the initial morning start, again. Drive home was fine.

Any initial thoughts?

I was going to have a look at the video again but it seems to have disappeared. However from yesterday I recall that it seemed that the engine bay cooling fan was running, there seemed to be a rotary motion just visible through the vent at the very beginning of the clip. Could this be it.?

Talking cars

You were nearly spot-on. Cable connection to starter motor badly corroded Cleaned and reconnected. Starting like a dream and no funny noises.

Thank for your input.

Regards
