Why do some photos appear blank?

Have only posted a few times but get really frustrated when I add a photo and it does not appear..Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated

Hi . You are not on your own ! I have been told that it is the file size of the photo that causes the problem . Try downloading the photo's to your computer and then on to this site ,or reduce the size of the file which I am hopeless at. Says the man whos last photo on here was a grey blob !

No expert but I think it's something to do with the file size of the photo...they can be reduced in most settings...on my phone it has a screenshot mode...actually taking a screenshot of the photo I want to post works all the time....might just test this one out and post results

Ok so I took a recent photo on my phone. ..it is of a engine I'm working on...let's see if it comes through..
Well came through first time with no hassle but I've had the odd grey photo.
Which I then normally delete...screens hot it and repost and this has worked for me....confused...you will be

It is an issue that is being investigated. Sometimes, as mentioned above, it is file size.
However even small files sometimes grey out too.
Sometimes an overlong file name seems to trigger it too.
But truthfully, it sometimes happens with no apparent reason that we can fathom...:shrug:

This will be fixed in the next forum update.
Its been tracked down to the orientation info that some devices inject in to the images not being correctly interpreted
