I Have a freestyle so they are the "hairpin style" I have seen them fitted but there is only 3mm gap between wheel and caliper so the balance weights on the rim would hit.David Aiketgate wrote: Which wheels were you trying to fit?

You need to have the wheels STATIC BALANCED. This means that the weights are not fitted at the front inside of the wheel, just at the back. Problem solved!
In theory this means that the wheels aren't as well balanced but honestly I've never noticed a difference!

Thanks that's what I had thought, I think the Mechanic was being cautious I know him well and he doesn't like anything that's not straight forward. I will probably do the job myself I just struggle off ramps and axle stands, the wheels I am selling (sold I think) are my spare set I have the same but powder coated on the car and the same as a spare.
