Ok , as the subject says what are your views ? I have an 05 TF which I love but the I find the interior is very drab. The seats are half black leather and Daytona fabric and have the obligatory split in the seat bolster side which is vinyl. The rest of the interior is in black with Technical Grey .I can accept the dash, T bar and carpets but the seats are a bit on the dull side. I know that the options are looking on The Bay Of E , going down to see what MGF n TF bits have to offer or Rimmer Bros have exchange seats tailored to your requirements . I have been quoted an eye watering sum :omg: from a company that's local to me and the quote would include both seats , the door pods and the head rests. The seats would be all leather and would include the pesky side bolsters that split. At last years Harrogate classic show there was a guy with a TF who had his seats totally recovered in faux leather which looked very good and I couldn't tell that they weren't leather .
As always I would appreciate any views that you have .

John,
I have the black leather seats, bolster has started to disintegrate and the leather over the bolster area has started to fray, but not yet torn.
I have been thinking about employing Mrs Sundance and her trusty sewing machine and having a go at making new covers for the seats.
It would mean buying an old worn seat, hopefully for next to nothing, and then dissecting the covers to get the patterns for a new one.
Then its just a matter of cutting the patterns, sewing together and fitting. She is well good on stuff like this, so may buy some cheap Faux leather and see how it goes.
The foam on the bolster is easy to repair once exposed.
I am thinking new seat covers would cost no more than 20 quid tops...and my good lady's time.
If it works in faux leather, then real leather may be the next step...

Hi Sundance . Have you told the poor girl that's on her / your agenda, if so have your bruises healed ? My nearest is good with a needle and thread but I don't think I could push her too far .

I believe that Martin Smith has NOS seat covers available; might be worth a call to him.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..

Surely NOS seats would go faster than the car.
