Stainless might not be the best material, you have to consider tensile strength.

If the bolt you are referring to is FB110101 then I would stick to that. The ratio of tread to shank is unusual & if you use an off the shelf bolt of 55mm the shank will not be long enough, the thread will rest in the necked portion of the bottom ball joint & rapidly wearing thus compromising the system. The shank needs to be 35mm long & you will be able to buy a stainless bolt of 70mm to achieve this & cut 15mm off, but in you opinion you are using the wrong material.

I would look for some new or tidy original bolts...prettiest isn't always the best...cars can be made unsafe by replacing everything for the sparkly stuff.
It is possible to get a high tensile stainless steel but it is only about 75% of high tensile steel

Aha! An Injuneer! I did electrical engineering but had to wade thru Modulus deformation of materials etc. Shank v thread length.... Zzzzzzz at the time.
Stainless looks mighty purty but due to chromium content (hard, corrosion resistance property) is often less pref than carbon steel in torque tensile properties.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
