hi I have a spare remote fob, put a new battery in but wont work done everything the howto guide shows still not working, anyone know where i can get this repaired and resinked thanks

Are you are certain that the spare fob worked in the past?

If it is a Lucas system, easiest way is to buy a couple of used fobs from ebay, then get hold of someone who can program the car to them, and then see which ones work.

I did this and ended up with three working fobs for about £10 outlay (some people on these forums are so generous and kind)

OK

If you have two or three fobs available, then the chances are at least one of them will be working.

Also get several fresh batteries ready.

As i understand you actually program the car to accept the fobs.

Ask for help from some one with PU-Scan tool or propper Rover programmer when you have two or three fobs.

remember only Lucas system (square fob) not pectron (oval fob).

can not find any fobs on ebay ?????? lost now as what to do. i have a working fob but want two as then i have a spare one.

If you can get to Horsham, West Sussex, I will use my Pscan to set up Lucas fobs.

It will cost about £100 to have one done "commercialy" so it might be worth travelling.

Also you might end up with several working fobs

Ask around there might be someone closer
