Similarily the front would not sink as much as the rear springs fitted on the front would allow the car to ride higher at the front end.
Not saying this is the problem, but its the only explanation I can think of...

If they are the wrong way round, they will be really easy to replace since the nuts have only just been tightened up.
After 14 years the top nuts take some shifting, but your new shocks and springs should only take a couple of hours to swap round...
Only problem is that if they are the wrong way round, you will need to jack both the front and rear up - one side at a time to swap them over, unless you want to put the originals back on first....

If the job has not been done correctly they must rectify the fault, as the car could be deemed unsafe in its present condition.
If they refuse, then have them done by another garage, and take the original garage to court through the small claims court for costs and expenses.
Any decent garage though will recognise the issue and rectify.
However one issue is you supplied the springs. if they are not the correct springs for your car (ie have been fitted correctly) then it is your problem to resolve!.
