Just a quick thanks to Daz and Jill at MGFnTFbitz at Glossop.
I went to pick up a replacement T-bar trim and clips, as my old one lost the clip brackets while removing during my cabin de-rusting!
Daz let me have a really good example in exchange for fixing some lighting that he had fail, so I went home with my wallet intact - being a sparky has its advantages!
I also mentioned that I have a bit of wear on my seat bolster and he said he would sort it out for me!
He lent me a spare seat to put in my TF to keep me going for now, and asked me to bring the old one up to him, and he is going to get his upholsterer to repair it for a modest fee!
Can't get better service than that!
While there I was privileged to see the fine work they are doing on the Sunspot yellow TF that they were refurbishing down to nut and bolt level!
The bodyshell is now back from the painters and the car is being rebuilt with new or refurbished parts wherever possible.
Sorry about the pics but forgot to put my flash on!
From what I can understand, and correct me if I am wrong, the car the Sunspot yellow that Fast Jan owned, and is a bit special, being the first Monogram off the production line. It is this historical fact that has given Daz the urge to get this car back to original condition. Its going to be a bit special once completed. If I recall correctly the full refurbishment is being covered in detail in FasT Forward magazine.
Here is the engine, ready to be put back in after having a new clutch and full service.
They also have a really rare Moonshine TF in which is also being restored. Hats off to the guys for keeping these special cars on the road!
