I purchased the recommended citroen washer jets and well they barely sprayed past themselves. Took out some hosing, nothing. Put shorter length hose on, no change. Tried thinner tubing - nope, still no improvement. They barely spit out of themselves on to the bonnet. What am I doing wrong?!!!
Regards
John

I thought they would not be good enough, but when you are driving, the jet stream of the car carries the water spray up to your windscreen and you get a reasonable coverage.
Try it, when stationary mine just hit the bottom of the windscreen, but when driving its not bad at all.

That's where mine was restricted. Took it out and threw it away.:yesnod:Sunlover wrote: Try without the non return valve. There can be quite a restriction there.

I shortened my hose so it goes straight from the tank to the bonnet, fitted a Y rather than a Tee to split the supply in 2 and deleted the elbow so hoses have a gentle bend to the actual jets.
IIRC I think I filled a small amount off the leading edge of the jet surround so it was angled up more.

Probably for the same reason you wanted to upgrade yours!

I can see the air would help it reach windscreen more when driving, but what about if I need to clean it while stopped at lights, or MOT time? Might investigate pump next.
