As a member of the Leeds MG and Classic car club , today was our chance to show other national MG clubs Yorkshire at its finest as our annual Yorkshire Pudding Run took place.
Starting from our meeting point The Craiglands hotel on the edge of Ilkley Moor , 170 MG and Classic cars set off for the Yorkshire dales in glorious sunshine. Passing through Ilkley and Skipton the cars were released at intervals of 15-20 seconds to avoid congestion , the run made its way through narrow country lanes in upper Wharfdale.
Entrants were given a route book and could chose a long or short route . Judging by the amount of classics that were seen in the car park of Hawes Weneslydale creamery ,it was evident that most chose the longer route .
Interestingly there were MG,s from a Belgium car club there but they were not on our run and there was one MG badged car that was an obvious impostor! See pics.
After refreshments in the cafe , the cars made their way down Buttertnut pass ( well known by cyclists on Le Tour de Yorkshire )back down to Buckden , Appletreewick and through the picturesque village of Burnsall , passing Bolton Abbey we made our way back to Ilkley. Fantastic scenery, great people , fantastic cars . All in all , a great day out in the Yorkshire countryside.
John .
Ps apologies if the photos are naf . Thought I'd got the hang of this stuff .

Great out and about, so nice to see people enjoying their cars to the max. We had a nice run over to Castleton last night, with my mate Andy, another TF owner who has been on here and his missus, with the awesome Winnats pass included on the run.
Our next run out is with the Potteries and south Cheshire MG club to Bakewell craft show next Sat.
