Wow, as a brand new MG TF135 owner I've been browsing this wonderful forum to learn everything I can about these cars. All great until I got to this thread!
You see I bought a car with blown head gasket, 200,000 Km's, & quite a few other jobs that need doing. All seemed like a great retirement project to me! I'm now right in the middle of replacing the head gasket myself, having along the way added in a low coolant warning system, a front mount PRT, fixed various heater issues, etc.
Trouble is I'm 68.5! This thread makes me think I'm way too old to be doing this sort of stuff. Think I might have to sell the car, get a dressing gown, some slippers and settle down with a hot coco in front of the fire & the snooze box.
Cheers (& Lol)

Hi and :welcome: to the forum from John in Pudsey Yorkshire.
I wouldn't be too hasty in your thoughts of selling .if you have the knowledge and tools to tackle a head gasket and the rest of the jobs you have done, I wouldn't sell it until you have driven it . Most people on the forum will tell you that the F and TF have their faults but they will always put a smile on your face when you get behind the wheel. It's just a case of wading your way though the faults that come your way .

Your age just means you have been on the planet earth longer than some....don't mean your past it...there must be a forum for mobility scooters ..so when it's time go for the trophy blue scooter or the lovely shade of red
