Yep springs and shocks came together as a single unit. It is so different it's scary. I suffered the bone shaking for 2 years before.
Really easy upgrade too.

Bilsteins don't come with springs, just 4 dampers designed to use std springs.
Ride is still firm but much more controlled, they do have some damping, unlike the std set up.
As I said still very firm but you don't bounce out of pot holes heading for the nearest hedge.
If you want softer ride go for the 2005 onwards soft ride kit that does have softer springs.
Have had a set of Bilsteins on for 3 years, would like to try with a set of second hand soft ride springs (at the right price) as it might be the perfect combination).

Thumbs up :broon: for another TF running on Bilsteins.
One of the best £600 I've spent on my 2003 135 so far.
As VX54NEW states the major difference is in the smooth but controlled ride they give, even with the original springs. When I first got my TF I was convinced that it was going to shake itself apart, but now it's totally different with far less crash bang motoring.
If you do decide to go down this path I suggest you deal direct with VHS as they have the Bilsteins available at the best price.

Hello,
On our TF's were use the Eibach lowering sprins with the adjustable Spax shocks. If you than drive with a TF you feel what a great suspension that little car has. For us just perfect !
