Seen a flip out key fob on eBay. Where you replace the circuit board in the new key fob. Wondered if anybody had tried them and what your thoughts are. Fancy the idea of having the key and fob as one unit.

:welcome2:

I have a flip out type. I used it a few times and ended up back with the standard set up as I wasn't happy with the way the combined key/fob protruded from the ignition in the direction of my right knee.

all flip keys I'm aware of are made for Land Rovers which use a different blade.
Make sure the blade is sufficient for MGs!

Years ago there was a guy on another forum who sold the correct blades. No idea if he's still around.

He eBay item number is 112258308772. No idea how to copy the link from eBay but putting the number in an eBay search works. Take the point about the fob sticking out. Thinking that one of these would be a bit neater. One of the reviews on eBay says they couldn't get the circuit board to fit but two others said it was a good item.
