How do I find out what frequency my key fob is? was created by Kiwi2001MGF

Hi from New Zealand
I have had my 2001 1.6i for a couple of months, it is ex UK so im guessing it has a 433mhz fob.
I want to get a fob for the spare keys as it wont start without a fob, so the spare keys aren't much use except for opening the boot.
Im going to order a PScan so I can program my own fob, change the EKA code and diagnose any issues.
I had a look at the circuit board but cant see anything that shows the frequency and any numbers don't line up with anything I have seen on line.
At least I know its a 17tn fob, so that's a start.

Hi . I think that you had better seek out information about this from Paul Brown who specialises in this sort of thing . He can also supply you with a new fob . On the back of our spare Lucas fob is the original manufacturer's sticker and it is a 433 mhz but yours should be 315 if my memory serves .

Thank you David
I was looking for the numbers mentioned in Robs post, but as you can see from my photos there is nothing that has 1207 or 1239 written on it.
I did a bit of googling and found that EPCOS resonator 2701 is 433Mhz https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/Epcos%20PDFs/B39431R2701U310.pdf
I have had a reply from car keys online.com with a unit part number YWX101220A (433Mhz) advised to be the correct one for the chassis number of the car, so i will order it and a PScan.
