SCU and fob memory.
I hope you knowledgeable chaps out there can answer this query,......when a car has been laid up for a while and not regularly run does the SCU lose its memory of the fobs originally programmed to it?
Fob batteries have been changed with no difference, and the car battery was as flat as can be.
Or is it just sulking from neglect a bit like the wife does sometimes?

It doesn't lose the memory but will probably lose the synchronisation.
You need to lock the door with the key then press the unlock button on the fob repeatedly until it releases.

I don't think it helps when you press the fob while out of range of the car as the Pectron system has a rolling code which eventually ends up out of sync with the system . :nonod:

Thanks Guys, I am just waiting for a new battery to turn up and will try the trick with the key. I n the meantime while the doors are unlocked I will take the door cards off just in case I need to get to the lock mechanisms if it all goes wrong.

It is important to disarm the immobiliser before disconnecting the car battery, even if apparently dead. If you need to supply power from another battery through jump leads.

Good point,.... is that because of the possibility of throwing the fob out of sync with the scu?
