Ignition problem
Car has always started without any problem
Key fob seems ok and turns alarm off
When turning ignition key nothing now occurs
Had AA out he checked generally and made sure starter motor was ok
Eventually gave up
Not sure where to go from here

Take off the small wire connector on the starter and clean the contact areas. Check the fit is tight when you replace it.
Try to start the car...

Also have a look at the fuses under the bonnet in the black box close to the battery. In particular Link 6 and fuse 1. There is also a relay R102 I think this is in the fusebox under the steering wheel. This tells the starter motor relay to energise.
Finally maybe the Ignition switch could have a fault.
Usually its the connections on the starter motor that fail or a bad earth, but the above will also stop the car from starting.
