Door light switch .

Hello gents,

I have a problem with the door switch ( if ther is such a thing) on my 98 lhd Mgf.
When i open the passenger door the intirieour light come`s on just fine .
When i open the left hand door (driver side for me) nothing happens.

Opend up the door by removing the door card and stuf , still in big confusion here for where that this switch is .

Ordered a second hand switch and loom on ebay , but now i got the door gutted i can`t seem to find nor the switch , nor the loom for the switch.

Can someone please clear this mistery for me ?

The switch is built into the door lock mechanism.

After 4 times of taking locks out and putting them back in the door ( can do one in 15 minutes now )i finaly got it working .
Seemed that a lock of a rhd also has the switches mirrored so that didn`t work and the second loch had the same prob as my old one .
Finaly got one that is workiing so the light comes one when opening the door and the alarm keeps shut at the most onholy times .

Put new doorpins in the hinges and now waiting for som dynamat to come from China , so i can finisch things up , MK2 doorcard are waiting to long to get placed now.
