Disc wear
I've got a rhythmic speed related noise from the front suspension, jacked the car up and it appears to be the front o/s wheel (bearing ok). Discs are only about three years/ 13k miles old and the car is a daily driver, so no extended standing. I was surprised to find the ridge you can see below -
Is this poor disc quality and would the pad rubbing on this give the symptoms I have?

Hi . Yes , I would agree with David . I think its important to remember that we generally all try to save money when replacing parts and I'm no different in that respect but with a safety critical part like brakes I don't compromise with quality .

That looks like a cheap disc made from recycled metal that hasn't melted properly.
