Trying to identify wiring

Hello!
relatively new to MGFs and revamping an X-plated to its full glory.
I found two sets of wiring that i dont know where they might belong or do.

1- is in the centre - seemingly going backwards and has an extension of some sort


2- is in the centre console - connected currently to a dud button.


any tips help and i might get whatever they link to working again!

1) I'm not sure but I suspect it is an add on.

2) I suspect that is for the heated rear window.
