Hi,
the carpet, not the mat, on the drivers side could do with replacing, as there is a hole in it!
Rimmers sell the whole lot and not individual pieces at a staggering cost. Anybody managed to replace this single carpet?

kind regards
david

Thanks David, no joy there. I am currently in contact with a couple of suppliers who are sending me some samples to look at.
I will post the results.

I've seen just the drivers side carpet come up for sale on eBay from time to time.

The replacement carpet is made by Newton Commerical and I can tell you it fits a lot better than the original and the quality of the carpet itself seems just as good.

I have 2 samples from, Segal motor trimmings.
Black Wessex, and Black tufted, the later being the best match, but both are good. They both have a rubberised back on them. They come in 60 inch widths and sell in metre lengths.
My wife is a seamstress, so I will let her carry out the repair when things warm up a little.
I am still awaiting a few more samples, so if any good, I will post some more info later.

Techautosuk, a company on eBay, have a set of carpets that they could potentially copy and supply, however it is the lack of enquiries that may be stopping them moving forward. If you are interested in a new set of carpets, then please get in contact with them

Thought that I would update you all on the carpet saga!
A set of carpets from Rimmers, £204.00 plus delivery, Pretty expensive, so I decided on a repair before making the move.
I carefully cut out the hole to the size of the sample. To the rear side of the original carpet I hot glued a piece of cloth fabric, ensuring that it covered the cut out by about an inch all round.
Then, I hot glued in the carpet sample piece. Not exactly perfect, but pretty good.
Judge for yourselves!

It's fine. 😆
Much more satisfying than just paying out 200 quid.
