Engine cover sound deadening

Engine cover sound deadening was created by mrtsbrother

Hi all. One frustration I have is the rapidly deteriorating 'dead dog' added to the fact that it is so thick it gets in the way of the glass softtop properly retracting. Has anyone used something else? Closed cell stuff? Dynapad? Anything else?

Any advice gratefully received!

I use this mylar insulation material, two layers glued together, in both of our Fs.  It seems to work every bit as good as the orginal felt material, and its much esay to hamdle.

Is @cjj still on here? I'd also be interested in his experience of dynamatt. Just trying to get something that performs as adequately as the dead dog but is thinner and seeing all of the options! Dynapad looks great but it is well expensive!
