Wheel Nuts
Today I felt the need to remove the front wheels, I haven't had the car long and obviously in its previous 19 years of existence, any adaptor/special tool to remove the wheel nuts is long gone. Currently if I get a puncture I'm screwed. Can anyone tell me what I should have and how to get the existing nuts off?

If you still have the original nuts, then the security nut is a false cap that can be pulled off. Underneath that is a two lobed nut that needs a special key to remove it. If you no longer have the key, the nut material is relatively soft, so then belting a good multipoint socket on will enable you to remove it.
The other nuts are just standard nuts removed with a wheel brace.
The normal nuts are steel with a chrome cap and in some circumstances the chrome cap detaches from the steel nut. This then requires a socket 1 mm smaller to remove. In my opinion its worth replacing all the nuts with standard solid wheel nuts to avoid future pain!

Standard nuts are 19mm
The chrome cover doesn't need to be removed
Early lock nuts are made of cream cheese
They can be removed with an 18mm hex socket, a hammer helps.
Standard nuts sans the chrome cap can be removed with the same 18mm hex socket
