Hi,
Knocked out ap caliper pins today on one side so I can check reason for pulling to left when braking.
They actually came out without toooooo much trouble. I had cleaned off all the corosion at ends with a small electrical screwdriver and used plusgas for three days beforehand while waiting for some dift pins to arrive.
Question is, you can get plain or stainless steel replacement pins, which is best for not getting stuck, if there is any difference?
I think the calipers are aluiminium.
Going to use copperslip when putting new ones on as well.
Cheers,
Iain.

After struggling like hell to remove one of the ap pins on my calipers, I bought some Mike Satur stainless pins. They are held by circlips front and back and look a much better solution.:yesnod:
They were around the same price a standard pins, if I recall correctly.

Hi,
You have to enlarge the outer hole from 4mm to 6mm with a drill but a much better option for future work on these.

I have AP callipers on my Alfa Romeo 159. When I changed the pads 4 pins virtually fell out, 2 required a bit of encourgment but 2 were a nightmare and took the best part of 6 hours total!
Home to black Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 V6 Q4 ,green MGF VVC and red MG Maestro T16.
MG - the friendly marque.
