Rimmers it appears no longer stock it, however Brown & Gammon in Baldock list it at £29 ish although it has a cryptic note adjacent reading “Request stock alert”.

It appears it's no longer made. A bit of a surprise as the gearbox is used in other cars too.

EZL799 Spec oil should be available, try a BMW dealer, used in early Mini as its the same gearbox.

Thanks Steve, it's not the oil I can get that but the filter. I'll try a BMW dealership or specialist as they must use something in their cars

No longer available. Also, the one at B&G is for MINI not TF. It has different oil pick up and slightly different shape.
Bit naughty really as showing same part number. i had problems when I fitted that one and after a lot of searching decided to "modify" the strainer to look more like original, so far so good. I have ordered one from German web site, not holding my breath though.

Buzzbee, I'll bear you in mind.
My other thoughts are change the oil fairly often.

I checked the catalogue of automaticchoice.com who have a filter for the BMW MINI box which is in the Rover MGF etc but clearly state that the OEM & non OEM units they have (the only ones available) do not fit the Rover MG F /TF boxes

They do also have a BMW oil pan as a separate item. It might be that the pan is the only difference and the filter which sits in the pan with only an o ring seal to secure it is shaped to suit. If so will a MINI pan fit in an MGF and solve the problem?

After having no luck with German supplier, time to look at other solutions. I modified my Mini filter to help with fluid circulation and seems to work. As metioned the BMW pan is samefitting as far as I can tell (gaskets are the same) so I am trying to locate a filter pan to try it out, fingers crossed.
