In one of your previous posts you mentioned it being a hard ride, which it shouldn't be. For a sports car the f's ride should be exemplary but only it there's gas in the gas half of the sphere & it's the compression of the gas that forms the spring. If the nitrogen has escaped over the years & you pump the sphere to the correct ride hight you'll be pumping fluid in, which isn't compressible & potentially make the ride harder!
I would have who ever you get to attend to the system to verify that you have gas in the system.

Morning Ive found a garage quite near who does hydrolastic suspensions,so Ill take a ride there next week Ive read that cars do settle down after w while and since mine, like similar ones,is 24 years old it may hopefully just need pumping up Len

I suspect there will be very little gas left in the spheres, and pumping up will only raise the car, not the comfort, I had my spheres replaced by Ian Kennedy, the ride now is plush as it should be. www.hahsltd.co.uk

Couldn’t agree more, I have my four spare spheres ready to go to a chap in Stockport who has the kit to refill without drilling the nitrogen half. It’s worth looking his YouTube videos, I’d set my stall out to re-gas my own including making all the weld on unions & buying high quality shrader valves, only to get feet of clay after watching the videos. I’ve also made a set of individualising adapter to take out the hydraulic cross linking & to allow individual accurate setting of each wheel. It’s worth a try, but I’m looking at comfort not mad cornering these days.

Yes, there are a few who offer the service, there’s the chap I will be bothering shortly in Stockport & there are the Kennedy’s, who I believe are in, or near Telford. A little bit of keyboard work at your end will in all probability turn up names & addresses.
They approach their jobs from different directions but the end result is the same.
It could be argued that the weld on route has the advantage of an easy recharge down the line but my car was built in 1998 & is still bouncing along, bouncing with arthritis but not doing any great spinal damage.
You choose the route, Pay your money & your off down the road wondering what all those stories are about of sport cars having harsh rides.
