TF hood drains?

TF hood drains? was created by MAXTHEDOG

Hi All,
As we’ve just had a couple of down pours, I wondered if there are any hood drains to check. I’ve heard bad stories on MX-5’s and E85 Z4’s about their hood drains being blocked and wanted to check them.
Cheers,
Michael.

After doing a bit of ‘net surfing it appears the general consensus is there isn’t any. My guess is that the sides just drain straight down the body panel and off the back it drains sideways off the body panel or down through the engine vent slots.
I couldn’t see anything that looked like a drain apart from the channel under the boot that the tonneau sits in.
Cheers,
Michael.

Excellent reason for buying a proper car like ours, as opposed to those 2 pretenders :bust:
