Bonnet cable broken
If anyone thinks thieves will do a nice clean job of opening a bonnet to take your battery or spare wheel, take a look at how they stole the headlights from a Porsche Taycan. :omg: :omg: :omg:

Hi All,
Hope you can help with this, the bonnet cable is broken cable disconnected, latch is rusted in etc...appreciate a pointer to assist in sorting this, removed the front grill etc...as well...quite miffed by this.
Attempting to restore the TF in the pix to its former glory.
Thanks!!

Sorry no, those ones would have been my go to's.
Not that it is any help im afraid but reading this has made me decide to make 2 modifications. Firstly to remove and discard the security guard plate under the latch assembly and also to attach a large, heavy duty, solenoid to the latch release I will wire to a button in the cabin.

Did you try the very long screwdriver (or similar) trick to jiggle the tach from underneath that was described ? Someone has said the method is described in one of Roger Parker's books on the MGF, were you able to get hold of that or find someone who has a copy ? Did you have any joy contacting Rob Bell, he is definitely around as he has been active on the MGF Register foum in the last day or so.
Can someone who knows more than me about this please PM AAwilliam
