Drivers door won't lock

My drivers side door WILL lock fine with the remote and manually without the inside panel in place.

However, when I put the inside panel back on the door won't lock even manually. It's like something is blocking it once the panel is in place that seems to fit snug like it should.

I took the panel off to fix the door handle which wasn't opening from the outside which is working fine now.

Maybe someone has had this issue or can suggest what I may be missing.

Spent about 90 minutes on it today so back tomorrow I guess to try and nut it out.

It could easily be associated with the sill pin, the push down thingy that pops up & down when the door locks, your root problem could be here if it’s binding in the tube. Are you removing the guide tube whilst fitting the card, if not give that a try.
