Mg tf starts when cold but not when hot.
I've had a 53 plate for 7 years with no problems until recently!
No problems starting from cold, but after turning engine off when hot and restarting, engine would turn over but no ignition.
OBD not showing any faults.
This is what happened next.
I read many people have experienced this problem on numerous forums without finding a difinitive answer.
I hope the following helps someone and saves time and money.
1. Camshaft sensor replaced- No change.
2. Crankshaft sensor replaced- No change.
3. Coolant sensor replaced- No change.
4. Injected easy start into intake, engine fired!
5. New fuel pump fitted seems to have sorted the problem finally!

Just reading the title I came to the fuel pump conclusion before I read the thread.
Unfortunatly when the boffins at MG Rover were cooking up the parameters of the OBD diagnostics they didn't think to include recording data from the fuel pump.
So an intermittent fuel pump problem can be difficult to diagnose.
