88 Degree thermostat.
Just purchased a new one of these but I tested it first in a pan of boiling water along with my digital temperature probe, it did not open until the temp of water was 95 degrees.
Is this normal or should I not risk using it in my motor. (TF VVC)
Regards Glyn.

An 88 degree thermostat should open at 88, maybe 90. Try it again after it has closed. If it is still too high, don't use it and contact the supplier.
