Hi , when It’s wet and I take the petrol cap off there is always water sitting in the bottom beside the filler neck - it’s not causing rust spots - question - is there a drain hole I can’t see one - if not is the cap meant to be waterproof to stop water getting around the filler cap.the cap seems a tight enough fit but could be a agp in the rubber on it. Not sure - just thought I would ask if anybody else having this problem.
A drain hole would cure the problem, however another would be created, doesn’t the wing pressing impinge into the boot space?
I’m a distant from the car & going further south all the time, so I can’t remember, or verify.
I’ll have a look tomorrow & report back, unless someone would look in their car.
