First of all ,Merry Christmas to all on the forum My internet has been off ,since 28th November due to the "wonderful "service of talktalk .More later .Ive nearly finished the restoration of my TF and Ive been staring it every week or so ,however when I tried a few days ago all I got when I turned the key to start ,was a continuous two tone sound .This happened two or three times then it started .It has done this a couple of times so far.Any help please .There are no warning lights on the dash.
Back to the internet,I lost the signal on the 28th Nov and phoned TalkTalk to report the fault .4 hours later my call was answered and 40 minutes later ,I was told the router was faulty and a new one would be sent also the line would be checked out .The new router came to internet Open Reach came out and checked the line and said it was spot on and the fault was with talktalk I tried to phone again and after 2 hours gave up I then tried a different number and a recorded voice asked whet the problem was I said internet and the voice asked in what way.I replied no internet .I was then told to go online and log into my account to report the fault !!!! How you can do this without the internet is beyond me.So ive changed to BT. The phone soon rang to ask why and you can guess my answer Happy New Year to all ,answers to my problem gratefully received Len

Sorry to hear about your internet connection, Len. Seriously good work done on your TF.
As a wild guess, is it the fob bot talking to the security unit? I think there is a detector coil near the ignition lock switch that is sensing a signal from the fob.
No signal gives a ee-orr sound.
Maybe changing the fob battery as a first shot?
Apologies if you already know this.
