The A40 and the other Farina cars are definitely worth a look for anyone looking at classics of that age.

Our old MG Midget was a giant killer in Prod Sports racing it was competitive against much bigger and more powerful cars, in classes above it. iAh that’s why I’d have an A40. All the performances bits from a sprite will bolt onto a 40, Besides I have an A series performance manifold somewhere & one of Mr Webbers twin choke carburettors somewhere else. One is waiting for the other.
If you have a look at the Goodwood Revival on YouTube, it won’t take you long to find a few 40’s giving it stink & up against much bigger cars.

It held many under 1300cc lap records and even won the Victorian State Hill Climb Championship.
Proof that the basic package can be a force to be reckoned with!
