Basically had this problem since I bought the TF.. the remote lock only works if I'm quite literally stood right next to the car. I've replaced the battery in the fob and it hasn't made a difference. What other checks can I make to sort this out?

It's rather frustrating walking away from the car, trying to lock it, realising it's not that good and walking back :P

If you undo the passenger side kick panel (with the light in it.) You will probably see a yellow wire coiled up, this is the aerial. If you straighten it out, it should increase the distance.:yesnod:

Although I had to open the thick loom to find the yellow wire.

Yeah, trying to remove the engine access panel, looks like it hasn't been moved for a million years, one bolt came out pretty easily, then the next 5 I tried wouldn't even budge.

Will cover them in shotgun oil tomorrow and try again :D
