Disco 1 fobs was created by Red110

Hello all. Several questions on fobs/pscan:

Will a Discovery 1 Central Locking fob work in an early 03 TF (Lucas)? If yes, could it be reprogrammed using pscan?

My ex-200 Tdi Defender 4.0 uses a Disco 1 fob with a Disco 1 Central Locking ECU. Could pscan reprogram more Disco 1 fobs for that Defender?

And, if somebody has been using a pscan unit from new, on a TF, does that unit have to be "cleaned up" or prepared in some way to be used on another TF from then on??

Many thanks in advance

You need to open the fob and look what is written on the printed circuit board of the fob. On one side you will have letters like: 3TXB, 3TXC, 3TXD or 17TN. Anyone of these 4 will work on early 03 TF. However if it is 3TXC that fob does not exciter circuit for automaticaly removing passive engine immobilisation, so you will need to pres unlock button each time to remove passive immobilisation if it is active.

YES, pscan can (re)program mentioned fobs to early 03 TF.

If central locking ECU is 10AS then YES pscan can program more Disco 1 fobs for that Defender.

If you are buying second hand pscan, then you need to see if program part can be installed on your PC. Box do not need any clearance, but you can install program part on only 2 PCs. If previous owner did not deinstall them from his PCs you will need to contact pscan.uk to clear installed programs from his list (they will no longer work) in order for you to be able to install program part on your PC.

Thank you very much, Roverlike. Always grateful to you

I still do not know the fobs numbers as they are on their way, but I think all of them will be fine as my TF´s immobiliser was suppressed by the K-Maps repro.

And the Defender´s alarm should be AS10, so great news.

As per the pscan, I will do as you say and will ask for it to be unstalled from any previous computer

Happy Christmas to everybody here!

I bought a 2nd hand pscan. There was no drama in setting it up to use with my windows laptop. My recollection is that if you already have 2 computers registered, you can simply delete the one you no longer require so that you can load the replacement. It was a long time ago but I think it was all in the installation/setup. Philip will probably be along soon to give the definitive answer,

correct.  You can delete the previous owners computer yourself.
You will only need support from me if either:-
so many computers have been added and deleted that the memory gets full (but that would be a lot)
you accidentally delete one that you actually want to use
