Am I correct in saying the green light on the pscan unit should be solid when the unit is connected?
Mine is flashing quickly and the interface on the laptop keeps swapping from connected to disconnected.
Any idea why it would flash?

If the interface is powered then the LED should flash.

I can think of two reasons for it to swap between connected / not connected:-

1. This happens if the software is running twice on your laptop. Both instances are fighting the other for access to the port. Reboot the laptop and run pscanloader again, but make sure that you only run it once.

2. A loose USB connection. The first production run had mini type B connectors and they are not that robust which is why we moved to a printer type port for the second and onwards batches.
Does the USB cable plug in firmly?

Thanks for the quick response - indeed I did have 2 copies open, blame the sunlight and strong reflections on the screen. I have closed both and opened a fresh screen and it's working.
