Placeholder for discussions about Freelander 1 SAWDOC immobiliser ECU.
Features are described here http://pscan.uk/features/sawdoc.html

Note that as of release 0429 it is not yet possible to edit the keystore or add new keys. I am waiting for blank keys to arrive so that I can reverse engineer and code this feature.

It turns out that the SAWDOC ECU doesn't support programming of blank key transponder chips.

The way it works is that you have to buy a key from Landrover that's already coded to your car.

Pscan (from version 042B) can then be used to "enable" such as key.

If a key transponder hasn't been pre-programmed to the SAWDOC then pscan won't be able to enable it.

The good news is that a key from Landrover isn't that expensive. The problem is that many of them got rid of their T4s (or never had one in the first place) and so they can supply the key but they can't "enable" it. Pscan can now solve that problem.

Are there any plans to support programming of remote fobs to SAWDOC?

SAWDOC works with a transponder chip in the key. There is a coil on the ignition switch barrel that communicates with the chip in the key.

On the Freelander 1 with SAWDOC the remote fobs are handled by the 27VT CCU and programming of remote fobs is already supported by pscan.

Is that what you meant?
