Hi all,
Rover 75 V8 & Windows 10.
These scanning tools are new to me.
I finished the installation today, got the green blinking light, registered the laptop.
However it through up an error message, could not read error codes.
Under "petrol engine", I've selected Rover 75/ZT V8 260. Under Protocol, I've selected Ford. Gateway is also offered.
Any suggestions where I've gone wrong?
Thanks & regards

Hi Max
pscan has three different ways to access the engine ECU on a V8.
1. Engine ECU, sub menu V8 260, protocol Ford.
2. Engine ECU, sub menu V8 260, protocol gateway
3. Engine ECU, sub menu EOBD, protocol Ford.
Please can you try all three, after each one turn off the ignition, wait 30s, then switch on and try the next?
I have only had access to a late model ZT 260 to develop this.

Thanks Philip,
What's holding me up now is remembering where I put the cable!
Will try what you've suggested as soon as I can.
Regards
