Hello. Using my pscan for the first time. Successfully downloaded software onto the laptop, all looks fine. Plug the pscan into the car via the OBD under the wheel. Light goes green on the pscan, shows for a second in the loader box on screen. Then comes up with the message ‘interface failed’
I tried with the car off, ignition on and car running. All the same. And then re-installed. Everything looks fine, green light flashes on the box. But get the same message.
Is it me? Any help appreciated.

When you run pscan there is a selection box at the top left of the program, underneath some text that says "Select port here:-".
Is there anything in that box before you connect the pscan interface to your laptop?
Does something appear when you then plug in the pscan interface?

Box is empty prior to connecting. Once connected it comes up with some letters and numbers and I then click Next.
Although that said, some of the times the box is empty prior to connecting and once connected stays empty and I have to try reconnecting

Is it a Windows PC ?
Is there an FTDI driver version given ?
Is there any possibility that the USB port has gotten worn out or damaged? if the PC has an alternative USB port can you try that?

Also reboot the PC if you haven't since installing the driver / software.

No, this thread is now closed. The issue is not fixed, but the has been picked up by The Hat, (my brother), who has a thread running.
As he installed the pscan for us.
Please see his thread.
We still can’t get it to work.
Thank you for your responses.
