P0481 error Rover 75

The car is a R75 2.5 KV6 auto, produced in 2005.
When reading error codes this one keeps cropping up 'P0481 Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction' is this due to the fact that the later cars were fitted with two speed cooling fans (so there is no 'middle' speed) and Pscan doesn't differentiate between the earlier three speed set-up and the later two speed unit.
In operation the cooling fan operates as expected, i.e. both speeds are operational.

pscan doesn't interact with the cooling fans, it just asks the ECU what error codes the ECU has logged and displays them on the screen.
