Brake lights always on
Hi,
Noticed last night that my brake lights are always on, the only way to turn them off is to put your foot under the pedal and lift it up about 1/2 inch or so. ive had a look today but cant obviously see where the switch is or bolt to adjust it. Can someone please point out on the pic where i need to adjust it too?

Hi Mate, its a fairly common problem, but fortunately an easy fix. Look up at the switch and you will see the plunger, grab the plunger and pull until it "clicks". This will reset the position and solve your problem.

Yeah, the switch is supposed to auto adjust but often forgets. As Craig says give the plunger a good firm tug. The switch is difficult to see but is up near the pivot of the brake pedal.
If you open the driver's door then kneel beside the car inside the open door you should be able to get your head far enough under the dash to see the little blighter.

I had to replace mine when it played up in the way that you've desribed, a little plastic retaining tag had broken. It turns out it the same part as fitted to various bits of GM rubbish, (I don't recall which models) I got mine from a Holden dealer.
