i know the gaz system is good but is around £600 (think from mgoc) but if i can get a good system second hand all the better :)

i need to figure out what else i need to change/ improve such as putting poly bushes in maby?

F and TF suspension is completely different and none of it is transferable from one to the other.

My list is rather small at the moment as i've not added everything to it

Under the Bonnet:
PRT,
AP racing clutch,
Enclosed K&N,
Milltek backbox,
MS clutch arm,
Shortened gearstick,
MS bell crank kit,
SS flexi-pipe,
SS brake hoses,
Smoothed and polished 52mm throttle body,
Smoothed and polished inlet manifold.

Exterior:
Clear indicator set,
Gaz adjustable shocks,
Lowering pins,
SEAT Leon Cupra R splitter.

Interior:
Colour coded center console, air vents, door handles and door caps,
Leather door card inserts and center armrest,
Windstop,
Half tonneau cover.

To Do:
Ported cylinder head with bigger valves,
Ported & polished(or ceramic coated) exhaust manifold,
Heat coat all induction parts,
Either 1.9 or 2 litre conversion,
Complete front & rear subframe strip down & rebuild,
Alloy refurb,
WON Nitrous kit,
Air intake scoops,
Full silicone hose set,
Electric wing mirrors.

And various bodywork bits and pieces that need doing.

Suppose you got me there :o I reckon I could have got away with it if I'd needed to add the studs for it but it's the MK1 that doesn't need anything adding to fit it :skeptical:

Why can I see you going out & buying MK2 fixing studs & modding them to fit a MK1 tonneau just so you can say it's a mod!

I suppose a definition of a mod is really anything you add to the car, or is it?

To someone leather seats is a mod, but not to me because the car already had them. :dunno:

So if you don't have a tonneau, then adding one to the car, - is it a mod, or isn't it?

I dunno now, I've confused myself!:dunno::dunno:

Yes really some makes have been dreadful shoddy, mismatched and just plain dangerous. The Gaz units are pretty good and not bad value for money, can be a pig to set up to get your clearances equal for each coilover, a fraction of a turn on the spring seat different to to opposite corner can put the corner weights out by as much as 10% so very much need to set aside a full day for fitting and setup.
The MS kits are very good and use the same Spax dampers that I have which are great, the springs he uses are very good to but drop the car more then his figures suggest. A TF with the red spring kit will not clear even the tamest speed bump without grounding the floor pan- really a track spring.

If you want to run nitrous it will be pretty vital to stiffen up the crank and big ends and invest in forged pistons to avoid a very expensive first shot of nitrous, and a sump full of engine bits.
Where were you thinking of getting the head done?
Can point you in the right direction if you are intersted.

Yep, that's the plan along with the 1.9 or 2 litre conversion :yesnod: Going to really go all out and build it up to handle as much as I can afford.

Not really thought about where yet, I reckon I probably have about a year or so before anything actually starts to happen so plenty of time to look into all the different options and compare them. A couple of first ideas are either Dave Andrews or Modus who are a local company. Any recommendations would be gratefully received :)
