A seemingly innocent question (the one about the alarm) that could spark considerable debate - 'Lo Alarm' versus 'Brown & Gammons' versus 'home made'. All I can say is that I fitted the Brown & Gammons system and it was very easy to wire. The power comes off the reversing light circuit and they even provided a pigtail joint so it was a straight forward job to just plug it in. Most of your time is spent routing the wiring to the audio unit and light which fit in the central console and even that is straight forward.

I fitted the Lolarm only took around an hour and seems to work well, and the car under the cover is a mk 2 GTI Golf been under there for about 4 years now ?
